Our Story

Jim and Allen have been friends for many years. They initially met when they were introduced by Jim’s wife, who taught at the same school that Allen was a teacher. Throughout the years, Jim and Allen played together at Christmas parties and summer picnics.  They always were jamming together and singing songs they knew with friends at the end of the night, as friends sang along and smiled. They always said they wanted to play together more, but time and other priorities always seemed to get in the way. 
Earlier this year, Jim started performing solo at some open mic nights, playing a variety of songs he knew at Bernie’s in Chester.  In that short time span, Jim played over 50 different songs on stage by himself and with others. He invited Allen and a bunch of his friends from Allen’s school one night.

After watching Jim having so much fun on stage, Allen got excited to perform music once again.  Allen asked Jim if he wanted to play together at his next performance, and Allen and Jim started doing a series at open mic night. It seemed like whenever Allen and Jim were performing together, other musicians and singers gravitated to take the stage and play along with them. These jam sessions on stage felt like musical karaoke.  Every time, they sounded pretty good, even without any one of the musicians ever playing a show together before. Jim and Allen were thrilled as they saw how much fun it was to play music with other people. Eventually, that led to the idea of live karaoke, just as they had done many years before at those Christmas parties and summer picnics.

Through a series of connections, the band began to form, bringing different and talented musicians to the stage each time they have performed.  We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
